Let’s Pretend We’re Dead
Another miserable day, but
I’ve got a new game to play
Dressed in black, why are they looking so sad
Digging, digging, digging our graves
In this fantasy, I see
Our obituary
It’s so wrong, they were much too young
Such a horrible tragedy
Let’s pretend, let’s pretend we’re dead
Let’s pretend that this is the end
Life will be so much easier when
When we're lying dead
No more arguments, no one’s
Getting under my shriveled skin
Everyone claims to have known me
Suddenly I have so many friends
No need to be sad, no way
To shake this boney fist
No pain, no complications
Nothing hurts when you don’t exist
So, let’s pretend, let’s pretend we’re dead
Let’s pretend that this is the end
Never need to get of this bed
When were lying dead
Now I’m being embalmed, but
It doesn’t hurt at all
There’s no pain in this rotting brain, and
How our Problems they seem so small
While you’re set a blaze in this
Industrial furnace
Can’t wait to see their faces
At our beautiful funeral service
Lying underground nothing gets you down
I have no need to be upset
Hey! What ya say, no more bills to pay
And to my children, I leave all my debt
And now we'll leave the earth
With only good things to say
Because there’s no fighting in heaven
Assuming that we’re heading that way
Let’s pretend, let’s pretend we’re dead
Let’s pretend that this is the end
We could face this world alive, but instead
Let’s pretend we’re dead
Life will be so much better when
When We’re are lying dead
When we’re finally dead
Let’s pretend were dead
